I've heard SOOOOO many people tell me this throughout my lifetime, and let me tell you sometimes I'm the one saying it. There are days where we all just want to crawl into bed and not have to get up in the morning. Admit it, you know that the beginning of the week is usually typically hosted by your cranky self when you have to drag yourself out of bed to start another week. You have to get up, get dressed, make sure the kids are awake and they're fed. Maybe you have to worry about getting to school or work on time, and there's just an endless list of things that you have to do. You run out of the house without your keys, or you leave your lunch at home. Great- it's another terrible morning. You have to make it through an 8-10 hour shift or school day, just so you can go home and sleep it all off then start it again for the next 4 days. These are typical Mondays. You just had an amazing weekend, getting to sleep in an relax without people telling you what you need to do. And well now- you have work or do school work and stress yourself out for no reason whatsoever. Mondays tend to suck.
Now, let me tell you there are days where I completely dread Mondays. I am a worrier. I always have tended to be since I was little. I worry about things that will happen about a month away. When Monday hits I sit down and plan out my whole week, day by day what's going to happen. Do I stick to this plan? No way dude. I tend to do what I feel when I get home depending on how my day plans out. But lately I have been trying new things to make me more of a morning person, especially on Mondays. I get up and get ready for this new week that's ahead of me. Every day is a brand new day, a brand new start.
Here's some ways to help your monday go smoother
- Pack your lunch ahead of time on Sunday night
- Pick out your outfits for the week! (This usually helps me, even if you're just picking out your clothes for the next day, it'll make your day go a lot smoother.)
- Do a devotional in the morning, to get your day started off right!
- Make a "Monday Motivational" playlist, filled with just positive and uplifting music
- Make yourself some tea or coffee right when you wake up! (I love starting the day off with some green tea in my hands)
I'm a huge fan of chicken nuggets, and enthusiastically excited about what God as in store for my life. My other half is currently in the Air Force, so a lot of blog posts will be about the military as of right now.
